Unscripted Perspectives is built around experience, curiosity and considered discussion. These principles guide how we choose and shape contributions.
Keep the contributor’s voice
Editing should help an idea become clearer. Contributors review and approve substantive edits and their final attribution before publication.
Distinguish perspective from fact
Opinions and experiences should be identifiable as such. Factual claims should be checked and supported with sources where appropriate. We correct material errors and identify significant corrections.
Make attribution clear
Articles carry the contributor’s name and an agreed introduction. Views are their own unless another affiliation is explicitly stated. Relevant interests, sponsorship or material assistance should be disclosed.
Respect people and confidentiality
Do not share confidential information or identify people in sensitive stories without appropriate permission. Discuss ideas constructively and avoid personal attacks.
Publish original work
Contributors must have the rights to their text and any supplied media. We do not publish copied work or disguised promotional submissions. Material use of AI should be disclosed to the editor and reviewed by the contributor.
Agree on publication
Before publication, we agree on attribution and permission to publish and share the contribution. Copyright remains with the contributor unless a separate agreement says otherwise.
Keep the conversation open
A perspective is an invitation to think, not a demand to agree. We welcome different experiences and reasoned disagreement.
